Resources for Healing

Everything here was created to help you feel a little more steady, a little more understood, and a little less alone. Explore grounding practices, somatic tools, and trauma-informed resources for people living with complex PTSD and complex trauma. Take what feels helpful and leave the rest.

Grounding Practices for Complex PTSD

When your nervous system feels activated, overwhelmed, or shut down, grounding practices can help you find your way back to the present moment. These tools are gentle, body-based, and created from both lived experience and trauma-informed training. There is no right way to use them. Start with whatever feels manageable.

Somatic Tools for Nervous System Healing

Somatic tools work with the body rather than just the mind. When words feel too hard or thinking feels too much, these practices offer a gentler entry point into regulation and safety. They are simple, body-based, and grounded in both lived experience and somatic training.

Understanding Your Nervous System

When you live with complex PTSD, your nervous system has learned to protect you in ways that made complete sense at the time. Understanding why your body responds the way it does, the freeze, the shutdown, the hypervigilance, the constant scanning for danger, can be one of the most compassionate and grounding things you do for yourself. Knowledge does not replace healing, but it can make the journey feel a little less frightening and a little more navigable.

Healing is Not Linear

There is no right way to do this. There is no timeline you are falling behind on. You are allowed to move slowly, to rest, to come back when you are ready. That is courage of a quieter kind.
